Summer 2008 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

Yet another year has gone by and summer is here again. The warm months of the year is when this ministry concentrates of the tent ministry in particular. Not everyone that the Lord wants to bring to himself is already in or will go into a building set aside for the specific propose of meeting with Him. That is why we must be about the Father’s business of providing a place to share the gospel with as many as possible. In Matthew 24:32-34, Jesus says, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Also verse in 45 & 46 he describes what a blessed servant is, "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing." The task that God has given us certainly is a "great" commission, but that is why we all need each other to fulfil it.

Preaching and teaching the word is not only for sinners to escape hell, which is enough in itself, but to know how to experience the most out of life as well. We all know that "the wages of sin is death" and for that we need salvation, to be born again, but Jesus also let us know that all problems are not always brought on because of the act of sin. In John 9:4 where Jesus heals the blind man that has been blind from birth, he states very clearly that it was not sin that brought that circumstance on but that it was for the manifestation ( making known) of the works of God. And just as Jesus said of himself in that passage ,"I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." it applies to us today. We, the Church, should be the light of the world, busy, carrying on the work through the power Jesus gave us when he died for us and sent us the Holy Ghost.

Thank you to all of you who make up this ministry to fulfil the part God has given it to do. That is what a ministry is all about, everyone working together to carry out God’s great commission. This is the busiest time of the year for this ministry and it takes your prayers and support for us to be able to carry out what needs to be done. Planning is only one part, being able to follow through takes us all. Jesus said in Matthew 9:37&38, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."

We would like to hear your praise reports of what God has done. That helps to build the faith of others. Also if you have needs, send us your prayer requests and we will place them in our prayer chest and pray in agreement with you. Again, thank you for all your support for this ministry prayerfully as well as financially. We are a praying ministry and we know that prayer for us is essential for our existence.
